Managed Network Engineer vs. Dedicated Network Engineer

Both models deliver the same SA‑Vetted standard. The difference is who employs the engineer and how the commercial relationship is structured.

What is the difference between Managed and Dedicated Network Engineers?

Managed Network Engineer: Lumensoft employs the engineer and manages their performance — you pay a monthly bill rate. Best for project-based capacity and augmentation without employment overhead. Dedicated Network Engineer: Lumensoft sources and Solution Architect–vets the candidate, and you hire them directly onto your permanent payroll for a one-time placement fee. Best for long-term hires where deep integration matters.

Which model should I choose?

Choose Managed if you need specialist capacity now without committing to a permanent hire. Choose Dedicated if you need a permanent team member who reports directly to you and builds long-term institutional knowledge.

How does SA-Vetting work across all five staffing offerings?

Every candidate — engineer, project manager, or support agent — is reviewed by a Solution Architect before you see their name. The SA evaluates actual technical or operational depth, not resume keywords. The standard is identical across every engagement type.

Can a Managed engagement convert to Dedicated later?

Yes. If both the client and the engineer choose to move to a permanent direct-hire arrangement after a defined period, Lumensoft facilitates the transition — typically noted in the original Statement of Work.

Do you support project teams, not just individual engineers?

Yes. Project-Based Teams bundle multiple SA-Vetted engineers under one statement of work for a defined initiative, with a Project Manager available to run coordination if you need it.
