Consultancy Services
We do not implement what we recommend, on any engagement. You receive findings and a roadmap, and who executes it is your decision — including a competitor. That is the only arrangement under which the recommendation is worth anything.
An assessment produced by the firm that would implement it is a sales document. The recommendation may be correct; you have no way to test whether it is correct or merely profitable.
Consultancy Services exists to remove that doubt. A practicing Solution Architect assesses, advises and hands over a roadmap — and implements nothing, on any engagement.
Bought as a fixed fee scoped to the question, with a proposal within 24 hours of the scoping call. A single decision costs less to assess than an entire estate.
Consultancy Services — the third of three service lines. Recruitment gives you the people; Professional & Managed Services does the work for you; Consultancy decides what work should be done.
What that costs you
Why the usual answer fails
| Vendor or reseller assessment | Lumensoft | |
|---|---|---|
| Commercial incentive | Assessment leads to an implementation contract | No implementation is offered, on any engagement |
| Platform position | Recommends what they resell | No resale relationship with any platform |
| Who conducts it | Often a consultant or analyst | A practicing Solution Architect who has run this work in production |
| Deliverable | A proposal shaped as findings | Findings, a prioritized roadmap and TOGAF®-based artefacts |
| What follows | Conversion pressure | You execute wherever you want |
How we work
Every assessment starts from what you are actually deciding, not from an inventory. The questions asked in the first hour usually determine whether the engagement is worth running at all.
That last question matters more than it sounds. Some engagements are commissioned to ratify a decision already made. We would rather establish that early than write a report nobody intends to act on.

How it is bought
A fixed-fee engagement scoped to the question. A single decision costs less to assess than an entire estate, which is why a scoped question is usually the better engagement. Confirmed in a proposal within 24 hours of the scoping call.
Independent validation before a major commitment.
Governance review ahead of an audit or certification cycle.
A second opinion from someone who has run one.
Architecture bandwidth your team does not carry in-house.
You are likely in scope if any of these is true:
We implement none of what we recommend. The deliverable is yours — placing it with your own team, a third party, or tendering it competitively is a legitimate outcome and does not change the fee.
Common questions
Not under a consultancy engagement, ever. You may separately engage Lumensoft through Recruitment or Professional & Managed Services afterwards, but that is a new engagement scoped on its own merits and is never a condition of the assessment.
Consultancy is advisory-only — you receive findings and a roadmap. Professional & Managed Services means our team owns ongoing delivery under an SLA.
A TOGAF®-based methodology for the architecture and infrastructure governance specializations, producing architecture diagrams and high- and low-level design as scoped.
A practicing Solution Architect. Not delegated to a junior analyst.
Yes. The deliverable is yours, and using it to tender competitively is a legitimate and common outcome.
Fixed fee against a defined question, confirmed within 24 hours of the scoping call.
Findings, a prioritized roadmap and TOGAF®-based artefacts — and in our case nothing else, because we implement none of what we recommend. The deliverable is yours to place with your own team, a third party, or us under a separately scoped engagement. Using it to tender competitively is a legitimate outcome.
